The project brought together 283 community leaders, mainly women from indigenous communities and to get the various human rights & labor organizations working together to join in the celebration on December 10, 2005.

Booklets of CEDAW Primer to the participants were distributed. One special activity was the inclusion of ethnic minorities from Rattankiri, Mondulkiri and remote area of Kampong Speu provinces in the event, aiming at promoting their awareness of their Rights as ethnic minorities and to, also, improve the general perception about the human rights of ethnic minorities.
